Central iowa | Had a customer drill his out to 3/8 bolt. Put in grade 8 bolt.. last about 3 years than started doing the same thing as yours again.. I looked at head this year and found the metal auger fengers were hitting the 1/4×3 steel hold down strap when had down pressure on the head.. adjusted the auger up a half inch and didn't have the bolt break all fall.. think originally years ago they were having bunching issues with auger so they lowered it.. we ground the flighting to make it square again as well | |
