South Central NE | It's quite a place for sure! We love it. But the fires almost got Flin Flan at one point. We always stayed there overnight and drove to Pelican Narrows (little Indian village) the next morning. We flew off the lake with Kelly in a yellow 1958 float plane. I think it was a Dehavilland Bombadeer (I probably butchered the spelling) equipped with GPS. He would rock the plane back and forth to get us off the water. We would fly about 35 minutes into the bush. We would land on the lake in front of a very rustic cabin. Kelly would say "see you in 6 days." Walleye, Northern Pike, and Yellow Perch! What a great time! Wildlife, bears, eagles, pelicans, beavers, etc all over the place. Wouldn't trade those experiences for the world! | |
