We had a weird thing with a 1680 several years ago like what you mention and it ended up being the pulley was worn bad enough the belt was bottoming out and slipping under load. It worked fine the first field or so because of some rust build up on the pulley in the off season but after it shined up it started slipping. We went to a junk yard and got another one and that fixed it.
2366 wont take beans! Rotor plugged again..
