West Central Iowa | I have been getting email notifications that I am going to have to setup an ID.me account/profile to access my Treasury Direct account. Has anyone out there done this yet? From what I have read, it sounds like I will need to do this with my phone as it involves downloading pictures of a current ID and SS card and taking a self photo for them to confirm my ID. I am old school and I absolutely hate doing this stuff on a phone, so I am wondering if there is any reason I could not use a IPAD or Android tablet instead?
It seems this new technology hates me and it NEVER works like it is suppose to, so I am not really looking forward to this.
Anyone have any pointers?
