I have a John Deere 324k. I wouldn't want anything bigger on a skid plate and it will bend up lighter plates. I still have my wheeled skidder but it sits most of the time. Not much downside to the loader but lots of advantages. If buying used, keep in mind that the Deere piece that adapts to skidder is over $2000 if it isn't on there already. Stay away from ones used in dry fertilizer plants. They are cheaper but not cheap enough.
