When I did it I replaced them all. I figured they are all the same age.
With everything going dead, it has to be some thing that won't carry the amps.
Did you check the end on the starter?
Don't feel bad, I have a truck in the shop now I have spent more on it than the truck is worth.
It was just a wiring issue ....
