item 17 page 9B 9B 04 parts page messicks.com This thrust needle bearing is most likely your issue dealer inexperience may not have replaced it. this area needs plenty of grease too. I had same issue on 2188 without the thrust needle bearing the spring and cam system will not work correctly! Case-IH had an updated heavier spring offered also but I'm not sure if still in production.
