| I think you can get a decent one without breaking the bank. I needed a 3/8 inch drive torque wrench for my BMW motorcycle a few years ago. Well you know, nothing's too good for my "baby", so I bought a 3/8 inch drive electronic Snap On fo$700.00, and it is great. It's kind of difficult to watch the readout, but you can watch the lights go from yellow to green and feel it vibrate when it hits the pre-set torque setting. If I wanted a half inch drive I would buy the one Harbor Freight sells (Icon) which is fairly comparable to the Snap On. As it is I have a clicker half inch drive that works pretty well, probably not as accurate as the Snap On but probably adequate for lug nuts and anything else I'm going to run into, but I can tell you if you use it very much the electronic sure seems to be nice. I've had a Thorson and a Craftsman beam type half inch torque wrench for years, they are probably not nearly as accurate but back in the day that's all I could afford. | |
