Subject: Balancing NH3 applicator

Edmonton, Alberta
I'm setting up an NH3 system on a Salford high speed tiller. It has 17 shanks and I'd like to run a two manifold system. With 8 outlets on one manifold, and nine on the other, I'm going to get at least a 10% difference in distribution. Is there a proven way to orifice the system to get a balance? TIA.

I'm using a pump to delivery the product and need a rate controller. I've got a Deere on our seeding unit and I'm familiar with that. We may be renting out this tool and I'm wondering if there is a universal rate controller that will work with a variety of tractors. Does Raven or AgLeader make something?
