Subject: RE: Spring wheat crop

east central ND
My sandy ground is hurting already. Need 2 to 3 inches of rain. Most of what I farm was a beach of lake Aggazi. Half my soybeans are not growing. The drought maps show dry right at the mn / nd boarder. I’m 35 miles from MN, and my ground is worse off than just a couple of miles east or west, where there is heavier dirt. But, the local irrigators are running if that tells a guy anything.

Edit: My backyard had a mostly open winter and a dry-ish spring with very little run off. 5.3” of rain this year so far. Seeded all the pot hole. They look good.

Edit: my yard grass is mostly turned brown for last couple weeks. Had 4 tenths rain a week ago, greened up for a couple days. Turned brown again.
