east central ND
I farm alot of sandy ground. Ancient beach from lake Aggazi. Pretty open winter, not a lot of snow. Very little spring run off. Started out kinda dry this spring. Have had 5.3” rain this year. My sandy ground has been just ok up to this point, really could use 2” of rain..

This heat and wind in eastern ND is going to fry the beans, and I’m really worried about the corn. Corn is pushing out tassels. At what stage does the ear get aborted? Quite a few years ago I had a couple fields with almost no cobs in areas from heat and no rain.
