East Central South Dakota | I am surprised to read you guys are that dry. Watching the storms it seemed like you were getting some moisture. Temperature forecasts have you guys pretty hot, I guess that explains the dry. My brother-in-law and a lot of my friends have 1400+-pound fats in the lots. Buyers just keep saying feed them a little longer and let them get big, with no risk to them when it gets 104 and humid. Lots of worry in the cattle pens this next 10 days. I hate to see the wind blow so hard at these temps, but the cattle feeder needs the wind to blow at these temp levels. The money invested in shades blows my mind. Cattle need to stay high. |
