Boone Co. Iowa | My favorite phrase in the world is "farmer owned cooperative."
We had farmer owned cooperatives. In the 1950s or 60s my grandpa and uncle and another 2 dozen farmers started one.
Recently 2 cooperatives traded 4 locations, my local one being one of them.
My locally owned cooperatives opened offices in Des Moines.
My locally owned coop takes delivery of corn or beans by appointment / areangement. Otherwise the lights are generally off.
More efficient for sure. | |
