Chebanse, IL.....

Same up here in NE IL. I graduated in 1966 in a class of 100. We weren't the largest class, a couple years behind us was almost 110 kids.

Same school (district school comprised of 3 small town area) 60 yrs later is graduating about 65 kids. I'm guessing school expansion and building additions are on the docket soon.

But of course the teaching staff and administration has increased. Now they have school nurses, dean of students, etc. In 1966 that was all handled by the principal and school secretary. There was no assistant principal or athletic director or other jobs/titles like those.

Locally property taxes have increased at the rate of 7-10% annually on bare dirt. About 70% of the tax goes to the school district and it's pension funds.
