In North MO, lots of new roofs in the country are metal. We had big hail for about 30 seconds this spring, insurance adjuster said they'd buy me a new roof. Had a neighbor that put a new metal roof on a year ago. He said he'd put on 45 year shingles 12 years ago...they were wore out
