My house is getting a new roof, along with dozens of others in our area after last week. Contractor does both and I dont think a single one is getting steel here,
There most likely all getting shingles because of costs, we have three metal roofs on houses that seem to take hail much better then shingles, all of ours were complete tear offs and they laid the metal down flat on new osb board instead of having tin sitting on 1x4s. So I think that helps. |
