Subject: RE: Ag Leader or Precision Planting

Central Nebraska

Posts like these tend to be very polarizing with one camp guarantying the product they use/sell is superior.  In reality they are all (Precision, Ag Leader, Deere) all very capable of putting together a quality system that will be very relliable.

I run Precision on my planter.  I started the upgrade process about 10 years ago and have been fully high speed for the past 6 years.  In that time I have had less than 3 hours of downtime caused by Precision products and one of them was when a SpeedTube gearbox failed the first season.  Since then I've replaced two or three vDrive motors in season but I keep a spare with me so it isn't a big deal.  The system does what the claim it will do and does it well.  My 75 year old father runs it most of the time.
