The center line is very good. We always stack 36" hay bales one layer one way and the next layer going the other way and it usually comes out good.

About 15 years ago we started having a lot of trouble that was caused by poor manufacturing of the rack and pinion by the star wheel. The small teeth were burred up and hardened right from the factory on new balers or replacement parts. They would slip and change bale lengths. The problem has been fixed and is nothing to worry about now. I should add that the problem did not exist before that either.
