The outside groove is only there in case someone installed it without thinking about it or the bushing spun inside whatever.

If it has an outside groove you probably don’t need to think about it and can just press it in at whatever clocking you want.


You’re right, the outside groove doesn’t lube anything. Not sure why I didn’t think about that. I guess I’ll put the hole to the zerk side. Thanks.
