the bearing only spins when the clutch is dissengaged, my guess would be the big nut has come loose on the primary countershaft drive. I had a local michine shop fix mine back up so it would run true again. look very carfully at bracket that holds gearcase for cracks, and even the frame that holds it, I have had weld up a few cracks on mine in that location.
