Crawfordsville, Arkansas | Thinking about trying a few acres of wheat for the sole purpose of intercropping cotton into it.
Have seen a few videos and photos of a similar system. 38” cotton rows and what I’ve seen was 3 rows of wheat between the 38”s. Looks to be 9.5” wheat row spacing with a 19” gap where the cotton will be planted.
Any thought of what wheat population to go with? Have only ever had 7.5” wheat or broadcast in the past. I would assume you’d want a “normal” population crammed into 3 drill rows instead of more spread out like you’d have with a 7.5” spacing.
