Heavy soil or poorly drained lol. Here we have medium textured soil that is either well drained or doesnt drain at all. You answer to the question depends on your CEC's Here they are 7-9 or so I really dont put more than 100 units out in one pass.

Would this be for corn silage? That also plays into the equation. More N on early will increase silage yields. Here a lot of guys put everything on up front and use ESN too. Expensive but makes damn high yielding corn silage.
