Drift retardants. Do they do any good?

Interlock bonds molecules together and creates larger droplets i.e. coarser droplets. I use tips that produce medium droplets for liberty with NO interlock. So I'm producing medium droplets not coarse. If I were using the same tip with interlock I would be producing coarse or very coarse droplets because thats what a drift retardent does
