Seed is too expensive and a good stand too important to just fling it out there. Lots of alfalfa was planted here no till into wheat stubble with a Deere no till drill. Going into worked ground hard to beat a Brillion seed or an Esch drill. Find a middle age drill with a grass seed box eventually it will pay for itself.
