No-tll drill used here.
As mentioned you need a firm seed bed. Us a basketball as a test device if needed, ball needs to bouce.
Neighbor works up field after harvesting wheat, culipacs before and after broadcasting lime/alfalfa. Last year they went back to conventical drill, however.
How are you seeding alfalfa?
