Northwest Iowa | Herd seeder. Make one pass at half rate and see how it's coming out. Adjust if needed and make another pass splitting the middles that will come out about right. Seed coatings make a huge difference on seeding rates with alfalfa. Seed early and make the ground nice and firm with a mulcher then mulch again after seeding so young seedlings don't dry out. Should barely be able to see a boot print. | |
