Just when you think you've seen everything you haven't. That is an interesting way to seed a field.
I grew up seeding 10 acres every few years with a wooden wheel Van Brunt 6'. Went around and around till the field was done because there were 2 lift arms - manual stop and lift - no hydraulics back then.
How are you seeding alfalfa?
