North Dakota | Developed sepsis due to colon resection surgery. Colon came partially apart and leaked where it was reconnected. Kept calling physicians office stating I was waking up in the morning drenched in sweat and was constantly tired. They kept saying it was postoperative condition. Finally just went in. Doctor walked in room, stated “My God!!!”. Immediately put me back in the hospital on IV antibiotics. Was there for a week. Installed a drain line and bag to siphon infection which I wore for 6 weeks. Took a long time to bounce back so I could start taking chemo. Experience is burned into my brain for all time. It is nothing to fool with. | |
