I think you get very tired as your body tries to fight off the infection and that interferes with your mental alertness. The natural reaction is to go to bed and sleep thinking you'll feel better tomorrow. Left untreated or waiting too long before seeking emergency medical care can allow sepsis to damage vital organs and lead to death. My BIL had a hydraulic line blow out and injected oil into his hand. It developed into sepsis and he got very lethargic, luckily his wife insisted he go to the emergency ward. Doctor said he would have been dead the next day without treatment.


I have heard that can be real bad
