graincart gal - 5/24/2026 07:59 You are right, thus is why Democrats wanted to push inflation with higher wages ect... They convinced the poor that getting a higher min wage was good for them when in reality it just made the elites a farther spread above the middle class.
What do you think minimun wage should be? What would you want do do the work the minimun wage people do? Farmers with millions in assets really don't know much about working/living on for minimum wage but many would like to hire help for minimum age

TBH, almost no one works for minimum wage.      Honestly, you’d have to look hard for a job that minimum wage law applies to that doesn’t pay significantly more than minimum wage.     It takes close to double minimum wage to hire a warm body that will show up to do anything no matter how little of skill is needed.    Which is largely do to govt assistance making it much to easy to survive without working.

However, minimum wage is used in formulas that the govt uses to calculate other things.  That is why it matters to people that want more govt.   Higher minimum wage means a bigger input number into formulas for govt programs.
The type of programs that make it easy for people to live off of the govt instead of working.
