| This isn't meant to be a critique directed at you, MD. You strike me as a guy with agency. Many people have irrational victim complexes on this exact issue though.
Top 1% owns 50%+ of the S&P500. Good chunk of the other 99% resents that fact. The other 99% can buy in via 401k or IRA with preferred tax treatment and many still say "no thanks" for various reasons. Then they continue to resent the 1% owning 50%+.
A lot of people seemingly believe they have zero agency as it pertains to owning publicly traded stocks specifically. God gave man agency, make a choice and own it. I do believe this comes more naturally to farm kids, probably because their parents operate a farming business. | |
