In a local town, the local ordinances are the law just as the constitution is the law of the land.     

If he doesn’t like the law, there is a proper way to go about changing it.     Blatantly disregarding the law is not the way to go about it.     I wouldn’t recommend selling alcohol without a license.    





Civil disobedience is appropriate when a law is stupid.

People disregard local laws all the time, for various reasons. There are too many of them and people with no money are hard to punish, to name a couple. If pizza and beer close by is really the biggest problem the baptists can see in their community, well, I guess it’ll give them one more topic to discuss along with wondering why the church is dying.
