You're not alone.   The flat message format is only good for one thing, creating mass confusion over who a reply is intended for.     

I’ve always wondered if there was a way to remove it as an option for viewing a thread.   For some reason if you Google search for something and come to Agtalk by way of a link from Google, it always defaults to “flat”.    Which I hate.  


If it comes to having to succumb to a flat format, is there anyway to remove the “reply” option and only give the option to quote who you are replying to?      But of course that starts to be a huge waste of space when the quotes get several replies long and no one deletes anything.  

I don’t envy your task of replacing/updating this place.   Thanks for the time and effort you put into it.
