So, if I've got 100 dollars and 100 people, everyone gets a dollar. In 20 years, if I've got 100 dollars and 150 people, then what? How does that make " The dollar retain it's value". 

What it actually looks like is deflation. 

Which is actually kinda worse than inflation.
