Sioux County, NWIA | I took Econ 101 in college. Doesn't make me any kind of an expert, mostly makes me aware that I don't know enough to know. My prof always said that for a business to begin existence and continue it needs land, capital and entrepreneurial ability. Capital gets you land so it really comes down to capital and entrepreneurial ability. In the 25ish years that I have reflected on what he taught I am convinced he is right, and also that as a whole there is a shortage of money vs ability.
I have come to see inflation as a way of somewhat leveling the playing field between the haves and have nots. Inflation helps keep the fat cats from sitting on large amounts of cash rather than investing it and in doing so keeping others employed.
There are many inflationary forces but I see government deficit spending as being the strongest of them all. | |
