NW IA | We went to DeMotte Indiana last Friday and I was surprised to see so little emerged crop all the way from FT Dodge to our destination. US 20- 380- 80, and down 65..
However, it all appeared to be planted and with reasonably good going from here on out should have little impact on the outcome this fall.
Right where I am everything was in very early and up, but was slow to emerge. I have a few beans coming up now, but I was one of only a few to plant as late as I did. We had a nice soft inch of rain locally Sunday and Monday, which was just right for beans waiting for a drink in cold weather. A good prospect for rain today with heat to follow. | |
