Kingdom of Callaway - Fulton, Mo 65251

Data Center/High tech manufacturing project going in 45 minutes or so from me. Seeking 5000 acres, paying $1-$1.35 a square foot, from what I've heard. That money is now coming into this area, and I'm sure other areas, to be "parked". Guy just sold a 750K "Shouse" complex that the buyer never intends to live in, doesn't know what he'll do with it, because he needed a place to park money. This has been a problem for a while, but it looks to me like it's going to get way worse if all this goes through in even a portion of the areas that they're talking about building. At what point do you pay the capital gains and move on? Does the law need to be that you can avoid capital gains on a like acreage, instead of a like $ amount? I dunno.

Is that the Montgomery County one?

They announced today that it will be air cooled.  Folks are getting all up in arms about water usage before they knew what was really coming.

Christy Minerals there in High Hill was the largest employer in the whole county at least a few years back.  They have very little tax base.  I think it is a big win for the area.
