Hooker Twp,Ne | They are getting options on land about 20 mile north of me or abt 20 miles south of Lincoln. They want to use generators to operate it. There is NG pipelines going through the area. There are irrigation wells in the vicinity. First in nemaha river basis and NRD has say on water use. My understanding is they have to prove the aquifer will stay steady. Also understand the current irrigation wells are for crop irrigation and not for industrial use. Water use 3 months out of the year is different then 12 months. Those 9 months difference let’s the aquifer recharge. They are sticking a nice big carrot on a stick for landowners in the area. Tenaska is the company offering the options accordingly to the deeds on line. Google search shows them as Omaha based. Personally I think they will have water problems. And if they do build I wonder how the property tax will be. Looking at some other large manufacturers I feel their tax valuation is way on cheap side. There is quite a bit of opposition at this time. | |
