peak output per well 105 bbls / day December 2014 from 11,749 wells
most recent.. 59 bbls/ day in February.. from 18,989 wells.. across all wells reported in North Dakota.. the Williston basin (part of..) the Bakken formation.. North Dakota, Montana on up into Canada.. but.. primarily around Williston ND.
Adding new production from 7,240 wells.. (edit add.. $10 million per completed well.. that’s $72.4 Billion invested btw.. didn’t some of those investors go BK?..) yet the average rate is nearly cut in half.. cutting total production from 38.1 million bbls / month to 31.6 million bbls per month.
but “shale produced crude rates don’t decline.. much..” in the Williston basin.
