Cost to set up the solar?
Doesn’t produce enough energy to pay for itself.
Ethanol/ddgs/corn oil/etc do
You have never run actual numbers.
I have a solar array that covers my energy needs of around $15k annually and cost $170k to put up. Takes up less then an acre and pays out in 11 years at current electric rates not figuring in tax credits or depreciation. 5-6 year payout factoring in that.
An acre of corn or soybeans will not generate that revenue. |
