North Dakota
1988-1990 were bad. But farming practices were different. A lot of conventional till and air seeders were just coming into the picture. What is happening now is in most circumstances not overworked ground.

I am personally sitting here watching minimum till ground move. Seeded on canola/soybean stubble with one pass into good moisture. Dutch openers on 15” spacing. But these aren’t 40-50 mph winds. These are 50+ sustained winds with gusts to 70+. Not much is going to hold ground in this scenario.

I pray I don’t have to make the reseed decision. Would just pulverize ground that is already dried out and moving. Been there and done that before. Could just be opening up the tinder box for another system to make it even worse. Add onto that the price of fuel and seed and I want to puke. Wish I drank. Would be numbing myself. REALLY need shades for my patio door so don’t have to look outside:-(
