There should be zero need for a disconnect on a late model car or pickup. Especially not for 3 days. Can you imagine the transmission needing to recal itself every time you drive the vehicle? Fueling can also be affected while it "learns" a "new" driver, which is what it thinks every time you cycle that disconnect. I've got basically the same vehicle, with the exception of maybe cold winter, there should be zero concern over 3 days or 3 weeks for that matter.
Lowell, ForScan software license is pretty cheap for what it can do and I highly recommend it, even if all you do is disable the auto stop/start permanently so you don't have to remember to hit the switch every time you crank the truck.
