Subject: RE: USPS

West Union, Illinois

I bought 2 water fire extinguishers.  A bit bulky but they don't weigh much.  Seller boxed them properly and took photos of the box and label.  Mailed USPS with tracking.  Tracked them to my local Post Office.  We're a small town.  Our Post office is only open in the mornings, not big enough for a Postmaster on site. I know everyone working there (both people).

The day it came in both our clerk and carrier were off and we had subs.  The box was marked undeliverable, return to sender.  That's the last time it showed up in tracking.  Like I said, the sender had photos of the properly secured box and the correct address label.

A few months later they showed up on his doorstep.

FedUp Ground is worse.  The second line of my address is PUT IN BOX AT BACK DOOR.  I have 2 signs hanging on a chain over my front steps.  One says DO NOT LEAVE DELIVERIES AT THIS DOOR  This door is not regularly used.  The other has the various logos with PUT PACKAGES IN BOX.  A FedUp Ground driver reached over the signs and left a package on the front porch.
