Subject: JD DB 60 lift cylinder seeping

We have 15-20 year old DB 60 JD planter and are having trouble with one of the lift cylinders on the main frame. When we lift it up on the end, immediately the cylinder drops about 5 inches. It cocks the whole planter slightly and catches so it doesn’t fall all the way. It broke three of the four bolts holding the other cylinder I think because of the torque it’s creating. The cylinders have two sides, one for raising in field and one for transport. There’s no oil leaking anywhere. We took cylinder apart and internal seals on the field side look good but think we’ll replace any way. Any other one experienced this and if so, what did you find fixed it? TIA
