Used to buy votes from farmers. We don’t have enough votes to make a difference anymore.
Now it’s the big players like Koch brothers, Cargill, Nutrien, John Deere, CIH lobbying for dollars to give to the farmers so they can buy their inflated inputs. The politicians get their money in a round about way for their campaigns.
