I don't disagree with what you are saying, just relaying my experience. The spotted in 60-80k just never seems to catch up and get shaded out by those that are up and going. In a controlled experiment, the variables are known. In an uncontrolled like he has, he doesn't know what he will have in 10 days and he doesn't have the time to wait with his goal.
