Depends on many things. Fit to plant? Fit for tillage? No-till?
Some think you have to turn everything black. Or let it grey off, then plant. Others don’t mind planting a little dirty with minimal tillage done or no till. Fit to me is it has to be somewhat crumbly, seed trench closing well without a bunch of hairpinning.
