Subject: RE: What is considered "fit" soil conditions

Holland, Indiana (SW IN)
I'm in SW Indiana ---our answer no matter time of year --seems to be a wet spring here every year except 2026

IF the 4 wheel drive tractor can pull the planter and planter doesn't plug often with mud
FIT and ready ---IF we wait for close to perfect conditions NEVER get done

remember the year 1990 pulling 12 row planter with an IH 1466 planted 2 fields (about 130 acres) only down hill
would fold up every pass and drive on the road to get up the hill

Heck we're still farming

Dan

Add the 130 acres I planted down hill was 1/2 mile rows and the corn yielded good for a June plant
