Grab a handful of soil from as deep as you’re going to til or 2 inches deep if you’re talking planting. Make a ball in your hand, push the soil out between your thumb and your index finger. If you can make a ribbon over an inch long it’s too wet. If you can’t make a ribbon at all it’s quite dry. Your soil may be different, but that’ll give you an idea… Dennis


If my 4430 will handle the 20’ disk and packer it’s fit.

Joking..kind of…

My method is the same as above. I farm some bottoms that you pretty much have to cut them open and then a day or so later it will work pretty and be nice and dry.
