Can you get by with changing tillage practices? I seldom have issues with a dry seedbed for canola at 1”. Target depth is 3/4” and will happily plant 1/2” with no second thoughts. As small as canola is I have a hard time planting it “deep”. I’ll set the trash whippers to move 2” of dirt before I will set the gauge wheels to plant deeper
